winipcfg - Win 95/98/ME
To check which settings a user has in their network configurations use the winipcfg command from the DOS prompt. To use it follow these steps:
1. Go into the Start menu and click Run.
2. Type winipcfg into the box that appears and click OK.






3. This will bring up this box:



4. Click the More Info button at the bottom right. This will expand the box to what is shown below:



Check on Ethernet
· Host IP Address ( IP Address) – as per Non Nat IP addressing note in Call-it
· Subnet Mask – as per Non Nat IP addressing note in Call-it
· Default Gateway – as per Non Nat IP addressing note in Call-it
· DNS Servers – 212.38.173.189 and 212.38.173.190 (Click on tab to right of field to view 2nd choice)

Note: To copy right click on title header (to the right of IP Configuration) select copy and save in Word or Notepad.



Check on USB - if connected but unable to view web pages.
· Host IP Address – as per IP address in subscription window in Call-it
· Subnet Mask – automatically assigned
· Default Gateway – should be same as Host IP
· DNS Servers – 212.38.173.187and 212.38.173.188 or 212.38.173.189 and 212.38.173.190
